Charity Partners
You have 3 amazing local charity partners to choose from, all are 501c3. They each strive in providing shelter for people and/or pets.
Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) Our mission is to rescue unwanted, abandoned or neglected dogs in Rappahannock County, to relieve suffering, and to help each animal become healthy and happily re-homed. Our mission is difficult and costly, and we need all the help we can get. RAWL believes that no animal should be homeless. Our goal is a world where there are no unwanted pets. This is possible through educating people about the importance of spaying and neutering, community outreach programs, and the adoption of our animals by loving people like you.
Culpeper Housing and Shelter Services (CHASS) runs 3 programs; they operate a 15 bed family shelter in Culpeper and provide case management and financial support to help families and individuals avoid eviction and to obtain safe and affordable permanent housing. They run a prevention program where they help those who are facing evictions avoid being evicted. And they have an adopt a famiy program for those families that are most in need of basic food and clothing. They work to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring.
The Culpeper Humane Society (CHS) is a foster-home based rescue with no facility. All the animals in our care live in loving foster homes until they find their “forever homes” with their adoptive families. We support the most vulnerable people in our community and their pets, reduce pet suffering, lessen the pet population and create a healthier community. We provide a variety of programs to achieve this goal. Our programs include no-cost and low-cost spay/neuter programs, Trap/Neuter/Release to reduce the number of feral cat colonies in the County, Support for Paws to help with emergency vet bills, free spay and neuter and, a Pet Pantry that supplies pet food to families in need, free Pit Fix, and of course our foster and adopt programs. The Culpeper Humane Society…helping pets and people in our community.

Thank you Patti Want with RAWL for accetping my donation check on behalf of the Glass Family! These dogs aren’t just well cared for while waiting for their fovrever homes, she actually trains them too! She said this makes for an easier transition for everyone involved. This sweet girl is Iris, she has been at the shelter for over a year. She is approximately 12yrs old and looking for a lovely home to retire in!
A big thanks to Stephany and Elsa at Culpeper Housing and Shelter Services for accepting my donation check with such amazing smiles!
Patti is posing here with Duffy, a Plothound. He is just a couple of years old and has been looking for his forever home over a year. Thank you David and Charlene for choosing my donation to go to RAWL!
I had the pleasure of delivering a donation check to Cindy at Serendipity Animal Rescue. They currently have over 20 dogs ready for adoption, all are spayed/neutered and microchipped. I got a warm, tail wagging welcome from all!
I had a lovely time presenting a donation check to Mr. Chris McGill, Executive Director of Culpeper Housing & Shelter Services (CHASS). He was very generous with his time and he educated me on how this charity services so many in our community each and every day. Thank you Chris!
My son Reese presenting another check to the Culpeper Humane Society. Debbie said this donation was VERY appreciated as they had an influx of strays come in vet bills on the rise. At Impact Realty we aim to uplift both people and pets in need. It was a wonderful visit with Debbie as always!
My son Owen was excited to present a donation check to Marie at Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL). This is a no kill shelter and the two volunteers we met are amazing. We also had the pleasure of meeting the 9 dogs they currently have up for adoption. Please visit, they are such good dogs in need of forever homes.
Each donation plays a vital role in providing care and shelter for these wonderful animals, and hearing that sweet Daphne has found her forever home in North Carolina adds to our collective happiness. Every donation tells a story of kindness and hope, and together we can keep transforming lives, one paw at a time. Thank you Marie and Patti for your time and dedication!
I had the pleasure of presenting Debbie with a donation check from my sale of the Vose family home. Debbie is a volunteer with Culpeper Humane Society. It was a joy to meet her and this donation will help spay/neuter several dogs and cats here in Culpeper. Even a small gesture leads to positive change.
Thank you Tiffanie Gray at Culpeper Housing and Shelter Services (CHASS) for accepting my donation check on behalf of the Grablin family home purchase! Join us in fostering compassion and creating a caring community where every act of kindness contributes to meaningful change.
Thank you again Tiffanie Gray for accepting my donation on behalf of the Jekel family for the purchase of their new home. We love that our commitment extends beyond the realm of real estate!
